About the Job:

As an Android Developer at TechUp Labs, you will play a crucial role in driving the evolution of our products through the development of high-quality Android applications. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining Android apps that deliver exceptional user experiences and value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality Android applications that meet technical and business requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices and design patterns.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and reliability of Android applications.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development and incorporate new ideas and techniques into projects.
• Optimize app performance, usability, and responsiveness to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Android Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of Android apps.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin programming languages for Android development.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries and APIs integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Android Jetpack components such as LiveData, ViewModel, Room, etc.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Trello.
• Previous experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.
