About the Job:

As a MERN Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing full-stack web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-performance applications that meet client needs. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects, contributing directly to the technical excellence and innovation at TechUp Labs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js (MERN).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to ensure seamless integration of features and a consistent user experience.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code that adheres to industry standards and best practices.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs to support front-end and back-end functionalities.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the entire stack, ensuring timely resolution of problems.
• Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback and fostering a culture of code quality.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, proactively applying new techniques and technologies to improve development processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development environment, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in full-stack web development using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React).
• Experience in building and managing RESTful APIs and integrating them with front-end components.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and development workflows.
• Experience with database design, management, and optimization using MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of front-end and back-end performance optimization techniques.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to debugging and improving application performance.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Understanding of security best practices for web applications.
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Exposure to GraphQL or other advanced API structures.
